Geezzz guys...I was the one that resurrected this thread and asked Olsa the question.

They replied to MY QUESTION TO THEM with a prompt positive answer and I was satisfied.
Some of you guys are like fans at game that never shut up.
Next time I'll private message.

And they werent ignoring Clutchsmokes question. They already addressed that in post #69. Lets B.A.D.H.

I could be totally wrong, but why would SK start manufacturing/supplying these ratchets for another vendor when they dont have them to sell for themselves?
I still think Ideal or someone else is manufacturing these.
SK changed ownership just about a year ago to date.
As of now, we have no clue what ratchets they will offer, if/when they ever come back to life.

Either way, kudos to Olsa for taking a domestic approach with these.
great star doesn't have to manufacture them, they can provide the designs to other manufacturers. its something they mention on why they bought SK and their "technology"

Maybe I've seen it and missed it but do we even know for certainty that the LP90 series were not outsourced? I know SK was well known for their own tool manufacturing but outsourcing isn't really a rare bird in the tool industry. It could be possible that Olsa and SK are both buying from the same outside entity.

Just a thought and maybe a dumb one at that.

Anything is possible. However, more than a few years ago when SK was showing off prototype LP90 series ratchets at the SEMA show, they seemed really proud of the LP90 design. I'm not sure if they were getting the components from someone else, they would have been that proud. :dunno:
To add to the mystery, why does Olsa only offer flex heads? Could it be overstock/unsold SK made LP90 heads mated to a generic handle provided by someone else?

Great question. According to our research, flex head ratchets had higher demand, which is why we chose to launch our first made-in-USA ratchets with flex-heads. Fixed heads are definitely in the roadmap, though!
