"New" outdoor workbench

One of my daughters spied this free workbench while on a walk a few hundred yards down the block. "It's got a vise, dad!" Gotta love having lookouts! Anyway, it was at a home of friend who passed away a couple of years ago, and the new owners were only using the garage to refurbish Volvos. The workbench they finally moved out as it did not serve their needs, so he put it out on the road for free. The bench is ratty, but I really picked it up for the vise. Figured I'd just leave it outside as I am hoping to build a large metal fab table on wheels. In the meantime, this can serve. Have yet to try and find any markings on the vise. The white stuff on the vise is spray grease. Thought I'd try and protect it from the weather.

A beater workbench can be a good thing.

The vise looks to me to have been primarily intended for woodworking, but i will not report you for using it for other purposes.

Yes, the intention was to put the vise on my indoor wood workbench, but for now, it will stay outside and I will see how much action it gets.
