Add me to the list & thanks.1

Will do

I would be interested in one if you would consider doing a one piece the full length of my drawer. Basically a custom one to my needs. I would cover everything obviously.Would you be willing to do that?

Where are you located?

ya! I am located in San Dimas. Just shoot me a pm I am going to finish these two batches then I'll get the custom ones after production is complete :)

Matt;

I am wanting to do small sculptures . . . what model wire bender do you have?

Steve

I'm using a combination of a small di-acro hand wire bender and a custom wire bender we built at our shop

I'm in for a set, in Canada also, but additional cost is certainly accepted.

IDEA for those wanting a full 1 piece affair.

add an extra 5/8" 3/4" 7/8" (or whatever the spacing is) to the 7gauge as stick out on 1 end of 1 piece
when they get their 2 pieces, tac the 7gauge pieces to connect them, and they would have the regular spacing of the regular set.

sweet thanks! I'll add you

+1 more to Canada....

Thanx

Great here's where we look. After the second batch is filled I'm going to hold up to do a few custom sized ones. Price tbd.

Here's where we're at...

Batch 2:

1. fasteb
2. fasteb (Eddie said he wanted 2)
3. rusjack + ship to Canada
4. MJB24
5. bj42lx
6. Balor
7. Beakie + ship to Canada
8. BlackjackNA
9.
10.

Too tall for the shallow drawer on the HF box with the liner in there. They are barely 2.5" tall. 22" wide.

It looks like there's actually 2.75" of clearance on the small drawers which would work with these racks.. Also the narrower drawers are 12" wide, which would also work.

I'll take a set.

Great idea, hope you make a ton of money.

I'm 23 years old, a welder and buried is student loans! I never thought it would turn into this thanks so much!

Matt, this could be a great opportunity for you. Start making these racks in two or three sizes, two or three widths and a variety of colors. Once you get on top of this first wave of purchases you can build an inventory and have stuff ready to ship. Then put a website together so people can browse your offerings and place orders automatically.

It's kind of the same thing member KMScott did here. He cut some vise jaws for his own use and when folks saw them he turned it into a little side business.

Good luck!

Please add me to this list for batch 2! I've been meaning to buy a rack, and supporting a fellow young GJ with student loans is where my money should go! Good work

Exactly what I was thinking!! :D Matt, I don't know how "married" you are to your powder coater but it would be an honor to work with you on these and offer your customers exactly the colors (and personal customizing) they're looking for. They could even be shipped direct to save time and money. Check out my work some time and let's talk if you're inclined -- GJ members working together can benefit all of us.

Thank you very much man. I work around 60 hours a week right now welding and building prototype displays for large beverage company's. I'm going to try my best to get on top of both batches so I can get to that level!

Count me in for the 3rd batch as well.

Just measured the width of the right hand drawers on my HF 44' and it's just 12" wide, so I'll be interested in seeing how the 1st or 2nd batch folks with a HF 44' do. Height looks to be good. Please post up pics when you get yours in place!

This is good to know I will make SURE that they are a bit under 12 inches to make sure they fit

This is turning out to be a good story..congrats matt I hope these are very profitable for you

Thanks alot. So do I haha. I won't lie... it's a bit overwhelming as I haven't gotten the first batch out and there's a third list forming and probably already close to being full!

I'm doing all these on the side and after hours between two jobs! It's going to be a hectic month!

All I can ask is that you guys are patient with me, and i will do my best to supply your demand.

Also i am going to have put a line up after this. I want to get all three of these batches out before i even start a 4th list. i don't want to fall too far behind and have people waiting more than 3 weeks that are on lists. This is why I am not having you guys PayPal me until i have your racks done and in hand ready too ship.

*** Guys on list 1...

please be expecting a PM from me Wednesday or Thursday. I want to start shipping on friday!

thanks for your patience everyone

As a fellow new tech with a student debt, awesome job! Just be sure you're making enough profit on these to actually make it worth your time. 25$ shipped to the US seems like an awesome deal, but I'm sure most guys would be okay with an extra 5$ or so if it turns out that the first batch costs more than you've planned. Don't undercut yourself for any reason - I'm sure every guy on here feels the same way.

Sorry, my Maximum Matercraft cabinet has 1.75" drawers...... not nearly enough! I'll have to cancel out of this one.l

No problem. This works out so that I won't be making 11 on the last batch..

Alright everyone. 2 updates..

Decided to make them 11 3/4 overall wide to make sure that they fit In the HF44 box. You still get the same amount of pliers in the racks!

Secondly I am about 75% done with the first batch. I got summoned to jury duty this week so it set me back a day or so. I'm still pushing for completed and powdercoated first batch by Friday though!

And here's a little teaser pic.
Enjoy!

Matt

Ps. I OBVIOUSLY need more pliers haha
