New pole barn build

well new guy with a pole barn build my shop will be a 40x40 with 12 foot side walls two garage doors and a man door.
my bldg was ordered thru sutherlands lumber and should be here by mid january I did farm out the trusses to a local company all said my cost was 10,000.00 for the bldg and trusses. the dirt work guy was here placing stacks to level the pad starting at 4in above groud at the lowest corner to the higest piont at a 1.5 feet. comcret is running 2.80 per sq foot

the builder total estimate for 40x40 at rough is my labour all be building it my self with the exection of concrete and elec. so manily time i did get a qoute from a company in Oklahoma for 19000.00 installed but my budget was a little to tight to have someone else build it for me.

Where do you live? If you fill out your profile and show your location maybe another member might live near you and would have some tips for you. Or maybe you can talk him into providing some free labor.

Post some pictures when you can. I wish I lived on property large enough for a separate pole barn.

It looks like it will be cold for a few more days.

yea cold till monday but if the ground is to wet they wont be able to work on the dirt to build my pad up, and to top it off the guy doing my dirt work has to stop between the 29th thru the first they have a firework stand that they open for new years so i wont see any work till the 2nd.
all take pics tommorrow of the site where its going.
