Finally figured out how to post pictures, but I did them in reverse order.
The details:
2 acres in Northern WI
30x50x12 pole barn with a 10x10 covered patio in one corner
7x10 bathroom
3 10x12 overhead doors and service door
floor drain
concrete slab with a 8x50 apron
Getting to this point:
Took down 42 trees to make room for the driveway and building site. A few fell the wrong way and even fewer caused dangerous situations. We have enough wood for quite a while....
After I was done playing lumberjack, I called in the experts. The excavator was an absolute artist with a bulldozer. The site was in a valley which needed to be raised a good 8 feet to level. He took all the fill out of the hill behind it and then put a nice slope on the cliff he made. Got the driveway, culvert, building site, and gravel put down in 10 hours. He even took time out to tow the gravel truck up the driveway after each load of gravel. The structure will be done by the end of the month. Then the bathroom, electric, and septic will be finished. Just in time to store the toys for winter...
More pics to follow as it progresses. This site has been extremely helpful for ideas and will be even more so once the shell is complete.
