After years of various usernames with no posts, I suppose I owe a hello since again I find myself here looking for good info from good folks who have BTDT.

I'm nearly 20 years into a job designing/fabricating/prototyping various small machines for automation. I've been lucky enough to manage doing that most of those years from my own garage in suburbia. I've got a humble collection of machines and tools - nothing fancy & no CNC.

Last summer, seizing market opportunity, I pulled out of the city and moved the family and my shop to our shangri la in the Colorado mountains. Long story short, and surely much to the appeal of the GJ crowd, the new digs reside in a 30x45x16 Morton. To get operational before winter hit, I made a couple local friends and built out one corner I could easily heat. It's still a work in progress as it's only been 4 months in my possession but chips have been flying since the week after Thanksgiving.

Inside with the bare-minimum in place for operations to resume.
Ran out of warm days to pre-paint OSB, hence the blue tarp wallpaper.

DA: so with all that talent if you have time to post others we'd be grateful. looks like you have a nice place and the stuff you have in your shop so far looks great.

welcome to the group and hope to see a few of your posts as I'm reading and learning stuff on a daily basis. also if you need help ask on the threads where they are on the subject you are asking about and you might get better answers than starting a new thread that could be missed.

cheers
