"New Posts" timeout?

Is there any chance of getting whatever timeout the "New Posts" feature used increased? I generally read the Journal once a day or so, and so I end up with 10-20 pages of "new posts". The problem is that as I page thru them, if I pause too long on any given page (to read a thread or such), when I come back and click thru to the next page it's expired the tracking of "Go to first unread". I don't see this problem on other forums, so I ASSume it's a configurable option.

I can work around this if I remember to just go ahead and open each page of New Posts in a new tab in my browser, but I don't always remember to do that.

I use the 'Quick links' tab and select Todays Post's. It seems to have a longer timeout.
