New problem - pop up ads all throughout a thread in FP

This is new - for me. Running Safari 14.whatever. Signed into the forum. And yes, it's in Free Parking (the "dog live forever" thread) but this is the first time this has happened. Usually its a top and bottom banner ad, which I can live with, this is like spandex gym clothes (they obviously don't know me) and the return of the *** toy ads (more you don't know me, based on WHAT you're selling... unless you expect me to use that thing on my thumb or something....) and other nonsense...

So what tripped? Now it's Top banner ad - post - post - ad - post - ad - post - post - ad - post - ad... big full screen ads.

I just assume it's intentional since the boss doesn't like FP.

FP has to be the busiest section on the site by far, with the most repeat visitors (which corresponds to ad revenue). Messing with it seems like cutting your nose off to spite your face, but maybe the increased ads are a direct result of it being the most popular area?

If I remember correctly, it’s the only part of the site he allows ads. Or at least it was at one time.

It was (or it is), before it was just banner ads, now they show up all over a thread. I understand the policy, so I accept the ad thing, I was just curious why now they're all over the threads there as well when they weren't before...

Oh, I didnt know that. I dont really see ads anyways since I use adblockers.

Ya, sometimes there’s and ad between what seems like each post.

No ads on my laptop with Firefox and adblocker plus, but adblocker doesn’t seem to work with my iPad.
