Obviously it is a doo hicky, not to be confused with the ever popular whatchamacallit., But now that i inspect it closer, it could have half a chance of being a thingamajig.

The flashlight and the extinguisher want theirs, too. :)

I've often thought about making them for the shop extinguishers (6 total), but in the interest of being able to quickly grab them if needed, I thought the best thing was to leave them on the plastic hanger/clamps.

As for the maglites... interesting story. About 12-14 years ago, Maglite use to be sell powder-coated metal clamps. Then all of a sudden, you couldn't find the manywhere and all that was offered, were the newer style, all plastic clamps. And we all know these are ****, that break in cold weather, and are just no substitute for the previous style.

Well, about five years ago I stumbled onto a guy on e-bay who was selling them. He claimed in his auction description, that he worked for the company that made them years ago for Maglite, and had found a stash of NOS in their plant. So I ordered a pair to see if they were what he claimed. Well, they were! So I ordered about a dozen more from him. I've got at least six Maglites hanging on the walls in my garage, at least one mounted in every vehicle I own, and gave a few to some of my buddies. I've since looked for the guy again on e-bay and can't find him anymore. Oh well.
