Hello Everyone,

I have enjoyed researching garage flooring options in the forum over the past couple of months. I decided that RaceDeck Free Flow was the best option for me. The floor was easy to install and I am ecstatic over how it turned out!

Please let me know if you have any questions about the installation or the pattern.

Regards,

Rob

Nice job and the garage looks great!. Not sure where you are located but I'm concerned with the mess brought in with cars in the winter time like road salt encrusted wet snow or ice that tends to fall off and can't be cleaned up until spring. These concerns may force some to choose an epoxy floor even though RaceDeck is an easier application for the typical DIYer.

Looks great. Could you post pics from the front doors? I'd like to see the yellow line layout.

Wow! That is very sharp. Almost a plaid pattern go got going there. Can you post your design image?? My eyes are sort of deceiving me. It looks like you've got four different colors but I can't be sure.

I think you are correct. Yellow, Black, Graphite and Alloy.

MRVM, I too have a free flow floor in my garage (not Racedeck), this was the second winter with it. The water and snow melt flow through to the concrete floor so there are no puddles to walk in. Once it all dries I sweep the floor with a carpet vacuum sweeper and it does a very good job of getting the dried dirt out and the brush does a great job cleaning the flooring.

Thanks, I forgot about the shop vac solution. That should take care of the nasty debri that needs to be cleaned up during "spring cleaning weekend". I guess one of my big concerns have been addressed.

If you have any liquid coating questions, ask away. I would suggest though; if using a free flow type tile in your garage and you live in a wet or freezing area, apply at least 1 or 2 coats of epoxy to protect your concrete against the elements. Especially to protect against salt, water, and any other type of chlorides used in de-icing.

Seems like that would be over the top though. Seems like most go one way or the other.

Can you use jack stands without damaging the tile?

It's all personal preference. Some want to protect their concrete from spills, chemicals, and the elements. Some want to make their floor look pretty. Some want both. There are many systems out there to achieve your level of protection and appearance.

I have seen a few floors on there that were coated before the placement of RaceDeck or similar tiles. The possibilities are vast
