Got my first 'big vise' today. Loving it. I'm gonna have to get something to remove the flat head screws for the jaws

I had a medium sized vise with a broken off hole. I looked in my junk pile and found an old Ford water pump with the right sized hole in it, and I put it in the chop saw and cut the hole off , then ground it to fit the broken edge . I preheated everything and brazed it on , looks damn close !! I don't tighten it real tight , just in case.....

Ok I think I am going to cut a piece out of a real big plate (~15/16ths thick!) and braze it on.

Too bad I've never brazed before...
