How many packs did you use for that?

The wall is 16' long. The packs have 2 - four foot panels. I installed 8 packs total. The packs came with a lot of hooks, so I bought the Gladiator GearWall for behind my workbench. The gearwall panels are 1'x8' so I bought 4 panels for my 4'x8' area there. I used the extra hooks from the GearPacks on my GearWall.

reminds me how nice it is to have nice mild, sunny winters in So California - I can actually park all 3 cars in my garage and dont have to worry about the snow blower and such.

yea I had to build the extra garage for all my yard junk so I could only park cars in my attached garage.

Looking at some old posts. Here's my garage 7 years later. Woodworking has taken over my life. Epoxy coat floor holding up well.

Wow. This is probably one of the most effective transformations there has ever been. You are a garage remodeling pioneer! That is one of the best planned and executed projects I've seen on GJ. Glad it is still meeting your needs after so long.

Always nice to see an update especially over that elapsed time for your epoxy. Do you remember what kind of prep you did on your cement floor prior to putting down the epoxy? Did you do a clear on top as well?

Thanks 55, I've been thinking about adding on, but dont really want to spend the money - I just need a little more space.

I shotblasted it followed by acid etching. It was really rough and clean when I put down the epoxy-coat. But it was early spring and I had several bubbles in the first coat. The 2nd coat smoothed out almost all of the bubbles - I got a touch up kit from epoxy coat and fixed the few that were left after the 2nd coat.

Then I screwed up - I put down a clear coat (not epoxy-coat). i now have tire marks wherever a vehicle has been sitting. I'm thinking about sanding off the clear coat and reapplying a new clear coat.

But the epoxy itself is extremely durable. I drag stuff across it all the time - maybe scratches the clear coat but doesn't hurt the epoxy.

Ron I like what you did with the tracks, particularly above the work bench. Great transformation.

Old post I know... But how if at all have you rearranged the things on the track. I mean one of the benefits of the gear track is the versatility and organization.. have you changed anything? Lets see some 5 years later pictures!
