New retaining ring for 1/4" round head ratchet?

I recently picked up a 1/4" Vulcan ratchet. It worked, but felt very sloppy. I took it apart, and found the reason is that the retaining ring is broken. It is a flat spring ring, and there's enough of it there to hold the ratchet together. It isn't complete, and the missing height makes the ratchet loose. It is the same size as the Craftsman ratchet pictured next to it. Are replacements for these available anywhere?

Don't know of any source for the ring itself except from a donor ratchet. The parts are interchangeable with the old Williams M-52 as well.

That ring is probably the same as the one on a later M-52A model Williams but I'm not positive on that.

If I had an extra part I'd help you out, but maybe try a Williams supplier. They might be able to get a ring from an M-52A.

I have a crewline (80's Autoworks house brand) ratchet that is a dead ringer for that craftsman ratchet, When I took it apart to clean and lube, I bent the snot out of the spring retaining ring and could not re-use it. I found an external snapring fit perfectly, so you may try that route.
