Your paying for it - buy whatever color you like! You don't need my, or anyone else's, approval.

edit: The only thing better about red is that it's the one color you can be sure will never go away so you can always add on to it in the same color. But that is no concern if you will likely just trade it in when it gets full. I've never had color or special edition graphics / logo stuff have any affect on trade in.

Well considering I have one in that color. I'd highly suggest red. That color is a hard resell if you go down that path.

If you like the color, go with it. My 1022 is black. While I'm a tool box is red kinda guy. Dealer had it on his truck and wanted it gone today because it was other wise coming off tonight. Traded in my kra combo and for barely a comma more I was into what will probably be my last big box.

The only disadvantage of burgundy is if you decide to get an addition like a hutch of side locker. Haveing burgundy reduces the possibility of finding a used one. Not that there is going to be a huge availability of those options in Scotland anyway but you do increase your chances if you have a more common colour like red or black

I was a snap on red guy for 25 years, still am, but right now I have a sapphire blue and wouldn't trade for red any day of the week. That being said I have had a couple cranberry boxes, took a while to get used to coming from red, but I love that color! It appears to be at a pawn shop? I would buy it! That color is awesome! Still wish I had a cranberry one.

most of my boxes are traditional red, but i do have a set in burgundy.

as mentioned by a previous poster, finding used/trade in side cabs or lockers are a royal PITA.

i'm glad i ordered the mid box when i bought the roller cab/top box in '94. wish i would have gotten a matching side box :(

of all the available colors now, i still like the burgundy.

Nice color and it looks to be in great shape.

If you're patient, you can find excellent deals on top chests and end cabs in cranberry.

Some of mine:

For the burgundy colour it's £1300 and red plus other colours it's more because the guy needs to order it in think it's 200 more or something

I'm still undecided don't know what to do

Plus it's going underneath a unit in my garage

I look at it this way: color "a" box is on hand, ready to deal and save money. Colors "b", "c", etc, cost more and will have to be ordered in......I'd just buy "a" and have it now - color doesn't change how it stores tools....of course this is coming from a tool nut who likes the color of his box, which is now unavailable, so much that he doesn't want to trade it in even though he needs more space and newer boxes have some better features! :willy_nil

If you are getting that EXACT box, for the price listed or less, I would highly suggest it.... Because I know where it is.... And will go get it if you don't act quick.. I actually think it's already sold.

Damn that is the same pic. I had to look at the tile pattern. Beautiful box. I would put that color in my garage for sure

I like the burgandy, it probably will look cleaner and neater.
