Well, I finally got a lift. I have been wanting one well for about 10 years.... I ended up going with the Rotary A10i and now I could use any tips installing this thing anyone might have.

Here is a quick question I have as well.

How can I determine how thick the concrete is I am wanting to install this lift on?

You'll need to drill the area you are intending to install the lift. A piece of wire witha bend on the end should suffice for measuring. Hopefully the floor is uniform, however.

What am I looking for on the end of the piece of wire? Dirt? Or am i looking to see if I can push it down and move it over under some concrete??

The bent end works just like the "hook" on the end of a measuring tape. Just hook the bent end under the concrete, pull it tight and mark the top of the concrete on the wire.
