Hello everyone, I just found and explored this website, lots of great info, I wish I would have found this before I did my garage floors.

Now I have a few questions for everyone. I just did the rustoleum garage floor epoxy kit in my garage, finished up yesterday morning(10/14/12) around 10am. And I have two issues already; the first is with coloring and I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with this but thought I'd ask, I bought the 2.5 car garage kit so it came with two, one gallon kits, and it said not to mix both at once, so I didn't, I mixed one let it set the appropriate time then cut in the whole perimeter and around my work bench and began rolling, when I ran out of epoxy I mixed the next batch the same way, but because of the initial setup(wait) time I couldn't keep a wet edge and now it's noticeable where the two batches are split, and the second batch also looks a half shade darker than the first. Is there any way to fix this or am I stuck?

And secondly, at the last second I decided to add the anti slip addictive to my mixes, thinking, "eh why not its only $5" but now I'm thinking its going to be a pain to keep clean. My garage is used to store my motorcycle, my two dogs(one of whom is a long haired German shepherd) and my make shift wood working shop, with multiples saws and sanders that will create lots of fine debris. Will this be very hard to keep clean? Or am I over thinking the whole thing? And if it is hard, is there any way to remove it or knock it down?

And finally I've been reading on here a lot about clear coats or top coats put on after your epoxy, is that something that is needed or recommended with the new rustoleum epoxy seal garage kit, because I couldn't find any info about it on rustoleums website and didn't see any clear coat or top coat for sale at the Home Depot when I bought my kit.

Thanks for any help, and I look forward to learning a lot more from this site!!

Welcome aboard, as far as the anti-skid goes with fine sawdust on a floor you will be happy you added it! not saying why I know that.

Ive done the anti slip in a bathroom, its not bad but ***** to mop. as for the color line, I think your stuck with it. when I did mine I made sure I used the expansion joints as the borders to hide the line.

Thanks guys, that's what I figured about the color, I'll find out tomorrow if saw dust will sweep up or not, I have a little project lined out for tomorrow that involves quite a bit of cutting so we shall see. My wife came out and looked and I had to point out the lines to her, so it's probably something no one will notice unless I point it out.
