Looks like Ryobi is coming out with a few nice additions this spring. Ran across this article while looking for info on updated versions of the small radio and 1/2" Anvil Impact I've been considering. Looks like I'll be waiting another month or two.

http://www.protoolreviews.com/tools/power/corded/ryobi-18v-one-plus-spring-2015/13478/

Quick List New One+:
10" Buffer
6-1/2" Circular Saw
Rotary Cutter
Small Radio w/ Bluetooth
20W LED Work Light
Hammer Drill
1/2" Impact Driver (300 ft.lb. :bounce:)
AirStrike Angled Finish Nailer
Corner Cat Sander

I've already picked up that 20w LED work light. I like it a lot. I've been waiting for them to come out with a bluetooth jobsite radio, but I really thought they'd refresh the larger radio before the small one.

Yea, I'm hoping they come out with another large one again. ***** they discontinued the last version, though a lot of the reviews mentioned problems. With any luck they pulled it to redesign and it comes back soon.

My mom has the current blue small version and I've used it on several occasions helping out at their place. Works surprisingly well for it's size, so hoping the new one is as good or better.

20W LED worklight should be pretty bright. Somewhere north of 2000 lumens hopefully? Most Cree LEDs are 80+ lumens/W.

For comparison, the Milwaukee M18 flood light will only do 1100 lumens.

edit: oh duh. it says 1700 in the link that I didn't bother to click. For $69 too, that's cheap.

Those listed weights look light, but I assume its w/o the battery?

That impact looks good, my Metabo is slightly smaller and lighter and has 12 speed settings (which is excessive), but was double the price.

i own the old 1/2 impact... i was hesitant to buy it at first but i was pleasantly surprised when i used it to tear down the front suspension on my car. it popped the ball joints out of my front control arms effortlessly

I picked up one of the work lights a month or two back. It turns night into day, seems to give you a lot of time on a battery, and is flexible in mounting/positioning options. Did I mention it was extremely bright? I really like it and other people that I show it too seem blown away by the output.

After buying 6 Ryobi batteries I knew I would start buying Ryobi tools but felt I would always need another "real" 18v system.

These new tools look promising enough that they may do it for me, although I will still always have the itch for 18v Milwaukee or Makita.

The real downer has always been the Ryobi drills, they just feel cheap and the chuck just doesn't seem very confidence inspiring.

I was also typing a rant about how the Ryobi hammer drills don't have torque specs listed but I just noticed on the newest hammer drill (p214) they list 600 in-lbs. That seems pretty respectable. I believe I will give it a try.

The new impact is showing in-stock locally. Went to see if I could find one to play with and had no luck.

A very helpful associate looked around for a good 30 minutes in the upper racks, receiving area and anywhere else he could think of. He said that either the sku's are getting crossed with the old version, or that they are possibly in-transit to stores and they jumped the gun on showing stock on the website. Either way they should be out soon hopefully.

I love their little tire filler compressor.
No one ever mentions having one.
Auto off at the pressure you preset, digital gage, fills and evacuates bulk air items like air beds also.
Fast tire fills.

I bought one last year for the motorhome- I love it too.
Convenient, accurate pressure, and doesn't seem to eat batteries.

They have a better version of the drills that don't come in the cheap combo kits

Wow, that could be quite useful....I had no idea they even made it. It sure beats lugging around a portable tank just to fill up my kids bike tires, beach balls, etc.

Thanks!

Anyone with the LED light knows what kind of color it puts out? I have the Milwaukee M18 light and the color is perfect (white with a tint of yellow). I can't stand those white lights with blue-ish hue to it.
