After having issues with my NT horizontal saw, I decided to take it back.
Came upon this beauty from FB market place for $1100! Previous owner said he made 2 cuts with it and tucked her away in the corner. Factory sticker shows a mfg date of 2/2022.
Pretty stoked to put her to work!

I’ll be cutting mostly aluminum. anyone have any tips on a decent blade?
The one that is on there now seems real aggressive. I think it’s a 6 tpi.
Might be good for firewood 😂

Buy your blades by the thickess of the material. 6 TPI is fine for solid bar stock. If you are cutting thin wall tubeing you need to go more teeth. You want two teeth in the material at all times.

Does the saw manufacturer have any recommendations? Because it depends on the thickness and alloy.

Not having seen your saw or read the book, I would start with about an 18 tooth blade and cutting oil.

Well we shouldn't be jealous or envious so...I will just say I think you found a really great deal there. I have never been able to justify a band saw of that size but I did get to use one on a project maybe 5 years ago. What I liked wasn't that it could cut a 6 inch piece of pipe, but how effortlessly I could make cuts in stuff like 1/4" x 2 angle steel. I can do that on my Jet upright 14 inch bandsaw but it takes a long time.
