Tarpon Springs Florida near Clearwater. The building is going up in Holiday Fl. one mile north of me.
I would imagine the Florida building codes are completely different from us. I bet the contractors stay busier as well with the constant storms.

Either way 100 grand is completely nuts...I mean maybe if it's turn key or so but idk about just assembly.

That Canopy is very nice. Did you or are you planning on HVAC?
Thank you. I love the canopy it allowed me my work area needed and storage while sticking to a workable budget. It only cost 5 grand or so but it added so much workable room.

I really want HVAC one day, unfortunately with the application bay I'll never really be able to effectively cool it with a 30000+ cfm fan, I may one day zone it for when we are just using it to work on things and projects. Now my tool storage, small project, work bench, workshop area kinda side thing I have going on I would ultimately like to one day heat and cool it for sure.

So built a new welding table today, was never happy with the old one, warped and way too wimpy.

I've still got to built a retractable caster system, paint the frame, make some removable receiver style extensions etc but it's a start.

The table top is 1 in plate 49 ish by 97 ish. I recessed the frame 6 in all the way around for clamping. The verticals and below tables are 3x3 1/4 in square tubing. The brace is 1.5x1.5 3/16 or 1/4. I will add left to right braces when I design a caster system. Honestly though it's not needed this thing is a rock. fe6081fc14d5b8769f2b2e8ec7eaef80.jpgb78b6f48f61732299461fd28b57f9976.jpg

Your building from your post looks great. That’s practically what I’m looking for. What company did you use for the building? And was it more expensive doing the cantilever vs a traditional lean-to?

It was cheaper with the cantilever as it saved two posts.

The building was from Heritage Buildings.

I was very happy with everything honestly from price to the support.

That sounds great, but it's easy to forget the details. Building cost, shipping cost, door cost, taxes. This one was 4 foot taller plus the canopy, with shipping and insulated doors and entry doors. Shipping alone was several thousand dollars (maybe a little more). Taxes was quite a bit. Most people are quick to say yell I paid 8000 for the car failing to remember that in addition there was a 999 doc fee, 600 in taxes, 200 in tags, etc. Im just one to say it cost 10000.

I feel confident in saying that if your friend got a 40x60 for 12,500 delivered out the door to a worksite the company really needed the money! That or the steel prices really have changed a ton. I think the kit may have been that amount but I'm sure that wasn't out the door.

I was quoted 20,162 for the 40x60x20h and a revised quote with the lean to of 24,095.23

With taxes, shipping and doors I was out 30 grand a fair price I think when I was shopping. I enjoyed dealing with the company, the prices were in-line with other quotes I got and I was more then ok with it.
