Never expected to move from where I had been for the last 15-17 years. But an unfortunate event of a family friend passing made way for an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

Where I was sat on 1.5 acres and was basically cut out of bank so the 26x28 workshop I added on was all the room I had. Which I posted about here

So now onto the new place. Smaller house but it’s just me and i only use the bathroom and bedroom so it will be just fine. But the big kicker was 9.25 acres that every bit of it is flat.

So now that leads to the garage. It is 48x104x16. Going to section off the front 40ft for a work area and the rest will be cold storage. Started by relocating the electric meter from the house to where the garage would be. Made it nice to get rid of the overhead lines and pole in the back yard.

This Monday the crew showed up at 6:30am and got to work. I wasn’t home when they got there and they were gone by the time I got home. But I was impressed with the professional for one day

They finished the structure part by 9am on Wednesday morning. The had a double crew to set trusses on Tuesday so he said that’s what helped move it along so fast.

Going to try and get the water line and some conduit in this weekend to get ready for the concrete guy to come do the grade. Then I can start laying out the floor heat.

I’ll try to keep this updated as I go
