This is my present shop, it serves me well, but is a significant commute from my home, so I am not able to spend much time there.

Here are some shots of the new backyard construction. It is 2350 sq. ft. The three large openings framed up on the front are for triple windows so I can see the cars from the house. The lift and work are is to the left. Entry door to the right. Looking foward to moving my stuff just outside my rear door.

The other strings are for the new pool. Digging on Monday. The kids have to get something too!

Any suggestions for the new space?

Can someone clue me in on how to make the photos appear hear in place of the link?

What are the black & white squares on the floor of your old garage made of? & how well do they hold up to vehicle traffic?

The black/white tile in the old shop is vinyl. I would rate it as satisfactory, but less than ideal. Tires will stain the wax topcoat so a pad or an extra tile under each tire is required. A hot engine can make the glue release and the tile buckle. I plan to put terrazo in the "showroom" portion of the new shop and the working portion will have epoxy.

The layout will be similiar to the old space. A 30' x 45' parking area and a 40' x 25' working area with the lift and equipment.

Banners originated from woodward dream cruise posters. Had a local sign shop make the banners. They hide a mezzanine type of thing.

I will try to find a few pics of the cars.

The new shop is framed up. Framing began on Wed of last week and will probably be completed tomorrow. I guess the roofing will be followed by brick, electrical, A/C.
