Fireplace - an interesting choice! I'm sure you got it at the right price, plus maybe it'll class up the joint ;)

So who'd you hire to install it?.........

Edit: Why do you need a heater in a shop? Where's the airconditioner?...:)

For James and Southside, I still don't have the gable ends sheeted and insulated or the roof insulated. In an hour and a half it raised the temperature from 47 to 66. I can and will duct off the top and blow heat around the shop.

You building a "fireplace" surrounding for it ?

When you say the gable ends are sheeted, do you mean they aer open to the outside air ?

I will be building walls and then putting stone around the fireplace. When it is done it will look like a masonry built in.

The steel sheeting is on the outside and the roof. I am insulating that and then putting up plywood sheeting on the interior. It has taken far long than I would of liked but I only work on it when I have time. Once I sheet it and insulate it, I will paint it. Then I am hiring the ceiling insulation installation.

Looking good, that's about how I am doing mine, slowly... going around the walls finishing. I am putting R 13 in my walls (all the way up to the roof)
I am still debating on whether or not to put some metal up for a ceiling.

Ahh, I gotcha now. It seems like everything takes longer than you expect, been there many times myself.
