New shop needs a door step

New shop complete except for electrical. Have idea for half-hex step in front of man door. Opting for this due to likely access from all directions. Size is set, form pre-built and ready to set and level.
I am stalled at wondering if there is risk of shifting away from the shop after winter. Ground is mostly flat now so step will largely be above most of the grade. Was thinking to drive a fence post or two below the frost line and pour over top. Something is telling me not to do this, but I don’t have that experience so turn to this group for some advice

Normally you'd dowel that into the slab.

What's the PT piece running at ground level? Is this a pole barn?

PT piece? The form in the image is loose and standing there against the ratboard. Yes, pole shed

I've had this simple 3" thick pad in front of my door for years here in MO. It isn't attached to my foundation, and it hasn't gone anywhere. Our frost depth code is 30" here. YMMV.

I like the drain, stealing that!

But do you have enough slope to run the drain away from the foundation at least 3-4 ft? If not I'd rather skip it.

Well that water is falling there regardless of the entry, so you're just moving 3' or so worth of rainfall to the right.

Dry well is probably overkill, but leave well enough alone!

My mistake. I meant my reply question (post #8) for the PCustoms post #6. Racecougar's second post (#7) w/ the pic of the drywell wasn't there when I posted my question. It now shows that my question was posted at 917am while Racecougar's was at 916am but I didn't see it. I think it may have been one of those 'other posts have been posted since, do you want to look at them' deals. I am sorry for the confusion.
