Mines giving up the ghost.

I'm thinking of one of these from Northern Industrial. Not thrilled about the NI logo, but can't beat the price.

Any other suggestions?

Snap-On made a round adjustable height stool. You could get just the cover from your Snap-On dealer, or go on the website and look up parts for the stool.

the stools are sold under lots of different brand names... think mine was Hot Rod Magazine... no need to worry as the only thing that seems to fail is the cheap hard black vinyl used for the seat cover... had the wife cut me a piece of denim larger than the seat and I recovered it in about 15 minutes...

If you have a leather shop or a place you can get leather that's not too pricey, those seats look really good covered in hide, and hold up quite well to shop use.

If you do a search for "Stool" on that site, there are a bunch of options.
They have four different versions of the old high school shop class stools: with and without the back, in a couple different heights, and as short as 18 inches.

I remember hating those when I was a kid, but damn they sure were durable.
And probably not THAT uncomfortable. Never have to work about welding and grinder sparks either.

Thoughts?
