Has any one visited the SK hand Tool website lately and clicked on their facebook link?

I did today and saw that they're coming out with some new tools. Now they are teasing with some images and some are in plain view.

They're coming out with:

a 30 inch long 1/2 drive breaker bar.

locking impact extensions

t handled drivers

18 and 36 inch long 3/8 drive breaker bars :wtf:

I can kind of see the merits of an 18 inch 3/8 drive breaker bar but, I'm not so sure about a 36 inch 3/8 drive breaker bar. :dunno:

Hopefully more new SK Goodness will be released soon.

Who knows?
I follow them on facebook.

I'm wondering if the t-handled drivers are just re-badged Bondhus?

30-inch breaker bar will probably find it's way into my box (even though it's the old style head). The 36 inch 3/8 drive breaker bar probably will too. Not sure if I'll need it, but it might be a collectible/oddity one day hahaha.

The T-handles looked like Bondhus rebrands. The extensions look like they use the same locking mechanism as everyone else (Proto, Armstrong, Matco, etc.). Honestly, I wish they would just focus on getting their ratcheting wrenches and pear head to market.

I'm psyched S-K's got new stuff coming out, but, uh... what's the application for a 3' 3/8" breaker? Really hard-to-access low torque crank bolts? One-finger smartcar lug nut tightening? Anyone have any idea?

obviously it's for loosening drain plugs from cars that have been to jiffy lube

Tell me about that, every car I've done an oil change on that had been to iffy lube needed a damn cheater bar to remove.

That 30'' breaker is very nice for anyone in industrial. Gets old carrying a pipe everywhere...

i had one i was nearly lifting myself off the ground holding onto my ratchet without the plug budging

i was extremely impressed that the plug head didn't give out considering i'm a big heavy guy

The 36" 3/8" breaker bar I could see being handy for the long reach and not so much for high torque. I have the really long SO 3/8" ratchet and that's the main thing I find it handy for. Snake it into a hard area and your hand is still out in the open.

I agree 100% same boat here. Peeps where I work love cheater pipes

Me Too!!

I'm really tired of waiting for a wrench set that was supposed to ship in April and seeing advertising for the new wrenches everywhere.:wtf:

However, I would like to see them fix those gawd awful screwdriver handles on their suregrip screwdrivers. I mean how hard can it be to stop using pry bar handles and go with a smaller more tapered handle that's suited to screwdrivers.:dunno:

I would also like to see them add a second shorter trim tool to their line up.
I'd also like to see a small hook and pick set with SK green handles along with short and long hose picks. SK could also make those really nice stubby boxed end metric wrenches in a longer length too. Oh well, I dream on.
I see the locking impact extensions, the 18 inch 3/8 breaker bar, and the 30 inch 1/2 drive breaker bar in my future when they're released. Here's to more SK goodness:beer:

They also need to expand their specialty sockets for applications such as the 32mm on many GM oil caps.

They also NEED to add 28mm combination wrenches (standard and long patterns) to their lineup.

Yes, it is a rare size, but I have had a few situations where I needed the 28mm wrench. I don't remember what I was working on, but I do remember it was not fun using an adjustable wrench as they haven't made one (yet).

SK, if you are reading this, please add 28mm combination wrenches to fill the gap. You already have 28mm sockets but not wrenches? (Your 25 x 28 open ends wrench do not count) Several major tool makers already have this size combination wrench available on the market.

I would go for the 1/2" drive breaker bar. But 36" for a 3/8"?? That just seems way too much. I've got a 16" Matco breaker bar in 3/8" drive. It's more than enough for anything I've ever had a 3/8" socket on. If I need something bigger than that I'm going for the 24" 1/2" Snap On breaker bar. I just feel like a 3/8" breaker that long may not be built for that much torque.

I wish they would bring back their 4 way angles. They are such nice wrenches and the large sizes are thin. They need to bring back the set that went 1 1/4" and make a topper set that you includes 1 3/16 and goes to at least 1 1/2".

Telling customers to stop using cheaters on their bars so they don't have to warranty them. Long form 3/8 don't make no sense to me but 1/2 inch does probably because I usually use impact sockets to break and most of my impact is 1/2.
