Well I put down the first coat Nov 3rd and took almost 5 gallons for 2,400 sq ft plus I used the remainder left in the sprayer and gave the porch and front apron a light spray.

Today Nov 5th I applied a second goat and took about 1.5+ gallons. It seems that I think I put my first coat kind of heavy. I am debating whether or not I want to apply a 3rd coat but I think I may not since my first coat was on the heavy side.

I think I have tracked down a floor burnisher from a local rental company, a Windsor Model 1500 HS. I have reserved it for tomorrow and hope to burnish the floor tomorrow if everything goes a s planned.

Here are some pictures right after I applied the 2nd coat.

Looks great! Got mine put down last weekend and burnished Tuesday. I used the white pad... thinking I should have sought out the "hogs hair"... I don't believe I got the full gloss potential.

I picked up the Floor burnisher this morning with a couple of the white polish pads since I couldn't track down the hogs hair pads anywhere. I burnished the floor in the morning and notice it wasn't getting as shinny as I would liked it to. I went in the house and found one of my laser thermometers and notice the slab temps were only in the high 50s F. Since the high today was a abnormally high 80F I decided to tackle some other projects and then come back to the floor later in the day. When i came back to the floor the slab temps were in the low 70s and after burnishing were showing 80F or so. All in all I think the floors came out well.

Grinding is to give a smooth surface.
If it was me I would do no more than a basic grind to knock any roughage off and nothing more than that. Kind of a satin finish.

The sealer or densifier is to seal the pores to reduce or eliminate the concrete from adsorbing spills

I am looking to using this advice for my planned new flooring project. Makes much sense ...
