Got a Matco MB-940 top and bottom, the top is perfect, the bottom is not.

Probably had way too much weight in the drawers at one time, nearly all the slides on the bottom are close to totally shot.

It's a good looking well made toolbox and I'd like to keep them together, but I need a box that works.

So before I sell the bottom real cheap on craigslist and replace it with a harbor freight job, anyone have an success finding new slides for these older boxes?

Last year I was having issues with the slides on my 20 year old Matco box. I called Matco looking to purchase replacements. The rep asked for the model and serial numbers of the box in question and then asked how many slides I wanted. About half of them were bad so he said I'll just send you enough to replace them all. A few days later they arrived in three heavy boxes via UPS. All for free! Matco CS rocks!

I know that this is an old thread, but I recently purchased a used Matco
mb940 roller with a 944 chest on top. I need a couple slides for the drawers in the lower. Contacted the local Matco dealer and he said they would only warrant them to the original owner. Today, I was notified that there were no replacement slides available for this box anymore. Would anybody have an extra left slide or a pair they might part with?

I love the toolbox and wanted to repair it.
