I traded in a smaller cart and paid cash for the remainder.

This "cart" looks a lot like a bottom tool chest. What make this a cart and not a bottom tool box, the lid?

I'd say the lid makes it a cart along with the height. At 3500 square inches it's more like a smaller Classic series roll cab than a traditional cart as we have known them.

I just sold my KRSC326 yesterday. Wish I could have kept it but I needed the $1000.

The idea of a service cart was to act as a liason' to your big box to hold tools from job to job and be small enuff to not get in the way. I always thought 18" wide to 26" wide was a cart.

Now that "carts" are 32", 36" and hell, even 41" and used as "main boxes" all that qualifies them as a cart is the lift lid, I pretty much call them lift-lid roll cabs.

I mean no offense as they are a great tool storage solution, but the car industry did the same by calling SUV's "crossovers". Same SUV size, just a different name.

It does indeed , but it may also pose problems if work bay space is limited or shop space is tight.

It's not quite a roll cab but it's larger than a "cart."

Now mind you, my carts are 28" HF and 32" SNAP-ON lift lid, so thus I do indeed break the rules, but bigger can get in the way to the point I used to work for a mfrg that did not allow any carts over 36" on the floor (32" preferred) and any roll cabs had to be placed at odd places of the shop to make room for business goods and "real" work cabinets.

Odd. But the rules.

I've been thru the lift lid, slide top, double slide top and now back again lift lid trend.
I guess it's all about size now.

the 4 wheel steer casters for one, the lid for another. plus it weighs less I think, could be wrong on that but its easier to roll than a big box. this is a crossover between box and cart.
i have one of these in black and love it. i am all over the shop so I have almost everything i need in this large cart and hardly ever need to go to my big box. i had the small carts and never could hold all of what i needed so I got this.

Nice cart without a doubt! A cart like that would be getting too big for me to roll around the shop. I'd imagine it could get heavy if it was decently loaded.

That is one sweet cart. I agree that for a starting tech this would hold all you'd need for a while, at least till till the pay rate got caught up with the tool desires. You'd fit enough in that box to handle 95-98% of the stuff needed on a day to day basis,barring specialty items.
