My snap on dealer told me last week that there is going to be a new catalog coming out in 3 weeks . Been hoping for this all of last year with all the updated tools and cordless tools . He said the old one has been out for 5 years. It's hard looking up tools on the site with out part numbers it's nice having the catalog then looking up the tools online.

The old catalog was P/N CAT1200 which would make it 2012. Those were the reissued catalogs as Snap-on had to black out the words "The Choice of Serious Professionals" on the covers due to the Cornwell litigation.

Looking forward to a new catalog.

Snap-On's website is a dream compared to MATCO and MAC especially

My catalog says "the choice of serious professionals " on it. Is it some kind of collectors item now? My snap on guy said he was told to ask for the old ones back in exchange for new ones from people he had already handed them out to. I dont think he asked anyone and i don't think any snap on guy did.

I was trying tonight to Google the outcome of the litigation but have not been able to find anything yet.

You know what's pretty funny ? Cornwell's site is probably the best of the 4. Seems to be the easiest for me to navigate and find things. Just cant buy anything off of it.

I enjoy a good paper catalog and can find things faster for sure. Snap On's old site was good IMO but all of these sites can be hard to search without exact exact tool names, part numbers, etc.

I enjoy paging through their catalogs while taking a dump. It really enables me to see what I need while being 100% relaxed

It's as if all the tool companies got together and decided they'd all have websites that are helpfull as herpes and useless as man *****.

It is hard for me to deal with a company that goes out of its way to discourage business. Their web site is a perfect example.

A few months ago I sent an e-mail to snapon with constructive criticism about their new site and have yet received a response.

I like looking through the catalog myself, then just type in the part number and order. I am getting more of the items guys don't stock, and it can be easier to just order online.

The bad part is now I will have to get a new one, cross off the items I have in the new catalog, and then work on the rest.

I did the exact same thing and also got zero response. I also clicked a "leave website feedback" tab and again got no response.

Yeah their old design was the best. That's actually what I use whenever I want to search for a part without a part number

The new site is like others designed/dumbed down for 'tablets'. It is SLOOOW and half of the content does not load and the images/pics are not present and/or give an error.

Almost every website is now geared towards a 'TABLET' with dumbed down interface with 'icon' looking images on everything. Like a Windows 8 version for everything. Like tools it is not a cookie cutter if it was then that once infamous wrench from the 1980's that was to replace every tool.

The feedback is broken on purpose so that way the 'outsourced' group in India never gets any negative feedback.

Snap-On closed their site for three days last year for an "update" that changed... nothing.

It is still not user intuitive or easy to navigate quickly.

The 'old' version of it worked great, the new version site is horrible at best. Like others said the 'feedback' option does not work on purpose.

Seems like a lot of companies think they're doing you a favor taking your money. And while I'm on a roll, when did no-problem replace thank you.

I use my iPad for the site and it still blows. I end up just finding the part number from the catalog and then typing it in the search bar.

I am sure whoever is behind the 'new' layout got an award for saving money and how smart they are. Politics of 'yes' men I think that is the culture we live in.

The catalog is still GOOD, I am sure a bean counter will eventually say don't need it look it up online.

Part of my past job in IT was judging/improving the 'look and feel' of our website...and Snap On's website needs some serious help to say the least. Either the designer has minimal tool knowledge, minimal design skills...or both.

Do the Snap-On dealers give out these catalogs, or are they for sale? How do I go about getting the new catalog?
