2008 model,,,why do these wheels have springs and the newer ones dont? anyone know?

I believe the sprung wheels were an option.

Thanks for that are sprung wheels better?? and how do you decode the letters after 1023? what does all that mean?

I had to decide between these 2 boxes and chose the older one in candy apple

Can't help on the decoding. I haven't owned a box yet with sprung wheels, but always figured it was designed to counter uneven floors.

After the 1023 is the paint code. The chrome wheels were available in 2008 my 1023 came with them when I bought it new in 2008.

The box I wanted for many moons! Never had room to go out, so I had to go up with a top and middle.

I have a similar -- bought three after the crash. Mine all have the springs -- I think they must be for uneven floors.

I have a small retaining wall I back up to and roll the box out onto some plywood,,and into my shop,,,somewhat crude but effective

Not crude, simple but effective. I think every truck owner has done something similar at some point.
