Got accepted for $35 on a red one last night. So much for my resolution to slow my tool buying addiction.

This guy is all over the place.

I offered $40 for a green one and was denied.

Then I went with $39 for a red one and he took it.

With the red order pending I sent him a note saying, "what's your best price to add a green hammer to my order? Split the shipping and we'll both save money." His response was $55 additional for a green one shipped with my red one. I declined.

Today I offered $35 for a green based on posts here and it was accepted.

So I saved $8 on the deal and he lost out on $5-10 depending on how you calculate it.

I've sold multiple items on eBay and modified my prices over time, but this is ridiculous! I wonder if there are two or three people on the other end of that account...

That could be the case. The Kenosha, WI thing is still strange. I would love to know what a dealer even gets these for. I just got an unopened set of Blue Point combo wrenches a week or so ago from the same guy. That deal was also listed here in the hot deals section.

You're telling me. When he had the wrench sets for sale I offered $40.00 a set (BIN 75.00). Before he responded to me he lowered the price of the auction to BIN of 58.00, then sent me a counter offer of 60.00 which was higher than the buy it now price. I declined it, made a new offer for 38 and he accepted.

It's a flip of the coin.

i wonder if there are different people handling this ebay account and each person has a different opinion of what best offer to accept? like some dude who's looking to make a small profit versus his wife who just wants all these hammers out of the house! LOL..

offered an hour ago and was accepted within 10 minutes

which listing did you use to make the offer? or did you just contact the seller directly? all the $65 listings seem to reject $35 offers automatically.. hence my asking...

strange, that's the exact same listing I tried to offer $35, but was automatically declined. this just today... your $35 offer didn't get declined immediately?
no it didn't, just said it was pending then was quickly accepted. not sure what to tell you. The guy seems to be pretty random.

I used that link for 30 and 32 and got instantly declined. I'd have a 2nd for that price but one at 40 is still good enough for me. Heck maybe I should try 28. So strange.

when did you make the offer? all the current listings at $65 BIN are auto declining offers of $35?

I got 2 today for 35.00 each. They self declined at $ 35.25 x 2 when I did tried a best offer for 2. Then I did 35.00 for 1 and it got accepted, so I offered for another one and it got accepted to. Plus combined shipping.

It's like it auto declines so many offers, then lets some go through. Ebay must be flipping a coin to see what gets through to him.

I offered $30 on the orange one last night, and got an automatic decline. I believe that he could have an automatic counter bid programmed in also, if he wanted, but it appears that he must have a boat load of these, and is just seeing what the traffic will bear. One thing that might be is that he lowers the acceptance point when the offers stop coming in, and then raises it when the traffic picks up. At $30, I would put it in the tool box, but at $40, I don't need it at all. I already have more hammers than I need, albeit, they are all the old school hammers with steel heads and hickory handles.

im kinda curious how someone got ahold of all these hammers....I wonder if there was a GOVT order that was canceled and someone from Snap-On is selling them off on ebay.

I got my green one today though :)

I understand where you are coming, but $10 a life changing amount? I am in the same position as you as I have more ball pein hammers, dead blows, mini sledges & mallets to equip a few mechanics. I never considered a snap on hammer EVER for the price until I picked up one off Cl brand new for $25 due to the purchase I got 2 of these and even got co workers to jump on this band wagon too (most of my co-workers are 1-3 years from retirement and DO NOT want to spend any money on tools.

Here are selling points on a SO hammer.

1) With a traditional ball pien hammer, when you hit something the hammer bounces back. This hammer does not, when you hit something with it just stays right there.

2) Keeping number one in mind, with no bounce back you don't have to worry about the hammer coming back at you, the head coming loose and possibley causing an injury and/ro damage. Also with no bounce back and rubber shockless grip less fatigue and you can pound away all day.

I say if anyone is on the FENCE treat yourself! I do not drink the kool aid at all, but I do have to say this one is one of the best tasting flavors out there.

Best of luck to all of you, I am really waiting to see if they really did re-design an already excellent tool. I can't come up with one thing to make it any better except that it should just clean it self!

Just noticed the orange listing has free shipping, and a reduced Buy It Now of $59 as of now. For those looking to play around with offers, this color might be the cheapest way to go.

Did you get the 24oz from this same seller? Been looking for a while but nobody seems to have one at a decent price.

All the ball peens came from this ebay hammer guy. He didn't have the 24 listed so when I made my offer I asked if he had one. When he accepted my offer he told me to pay what I paid for the 32. Still cheaper than snap on so I took them both. The small dead blow I got from someone else. The seller said it was used but I can't find a mark or blemish anywhere on it. Maybe he made a mistake in his listing.

Just offered $35 for a red 32oz. We'll see what happens.
I think I just made a new Snap-On New Years Resolution.
He accepted my offer the next morning. I paid PayPal immediately as I said I would in the offer. The hammer showed up today. Too easy to spend money.
