I was able to get one from the previous auction yesterday for $41 shipped! Was shipped today.

I am surprised, because purchasing one from school comes out to be about $60 after tax, with my discount!

I got an orange one for a guy at work for $40 shipped also. This seller is tough with his floating auto-decline settings, as it seems like the auto decline sometimes amount floats around where the current prices are on his dead-blow auctions (instead of the fixed price listings). Wonder if he's watching this thread?

Damn, you sting ******* - $40 shipped is the record for lowest in this thread. I got my red one for $45 shipped and thought that was a steal.

how did this guy get all these hammers? I'm wondering if this isn't someone who works for Snap-On clearance them out because of a production overrun...

Maybe they have a government order that fell thru? :dunno:

Does anyone know what happened to that guy? He always had a lot of brand new snap on stuff on his ebay store. Prices and shipping were good too. I think that he was out of Washington state, so maybe the stuff was hot.

Does anyone have a good snap-on source now on ebay? This guy was reliable from what everyone always said.

yeah that's real smart... steal a million dollars in tools from one of the worlds largest tool makers and list them on ebay

doubt it. the timeline doesn't match when the seller was on eBay.

Most definitely the same guy. And I'm sure they know everyone that bought something from him as well......

Here's a screen shot from PP from November 2013

Yeah that definetely seems to line up... I highly doubt they could come after any of the purchasers on ebay because how would we know these were stolen? It's not like any of us actually met him face to face and were made aware of his scheme?

That's from November 2013, so before the time frame mentioned in the article but I'm sure it was all part of the same scheme he had going.

If they were going to come after anyone I'm sure they would have. My comment was directed towards the inevitable "nothing like telling on yourself" or "good job admitting to committing a crime" comments.

Wow, so the deal was to good to be true. Whats funny is many people called and questioned it when they were up for sale, and now we just found out the answer.

Yeah, although the timeline doesn't match, when someone above mentioned the PAB autobody and ebay account name, that's too much for coincidence. I guess the article talked about their theft from late 2014, but they must have been doing this for a few years, since at least when this thread started!

OMG! Check this quote:

"Defendant Nathan A. Wrobel, of 8804 Durand Ave., faces a maximum prison term of 60 years on accusations he held up tellers at Tri-City National Bank, 8710 Durand Ave."

He basically robbed the bank down the street from his residence?!??!?! Who does that??? He probably banks there and is a customer as well! This guy must be so dumb, he probably took off his mask and walked back into that bank to deposit the money he stole.

I guess Snap-On doesn't do thorough background checks if they hired him...

I have an orange hammer that I bought for the sake of it. I have $52.99 into it if anybody wants it.

Never used it and already had one before I bought it.

Not sure whether I ever bought anything off of this guy. Definitely bid though. He used to have lots of small stuff on ebay.... ratchets, wire cutters, hex sets (definitely lost on hex sets a few times). But then all of a sudden I remember seeing the huge sets go up. At one point, I think that he had an autobody tool set that was a couple thousand.

He sold a lot of ratcheting screwdrivers too as I recall. I always just assumed that he was a dealer quietly selling stuff online.

Wrobel left through the front door after putting his gun back into his waistband, said the complaint. The teller said she saw Wrobel run to the back of the bank building and stop at his home. His residence is located two doors to the west of the bank building.

WHAT.AN.Idiot. I love dumb criminals. This is worse than the story of the guy that robbed a gas station and left his wallet, with his drivers license, on the counter.

I bought a hammer and a screwdriver from this guy. Now I feel bad for Snap On. Maybe I will give them a purchase to make up for it.

This! Had him on my favorite sellers for a long time because he always had stuff listed and it usually went for a good price. I always thought it was quite the coincidence since he always listed his location as Kenosha.

Apparently he has (had) a pretty crazy AMC Gremlin as well...
