snap88 - If everything works as it should, you got a good deal.

Simply search KR1000* on the forum and you'll find a lot of material and commentary on this box model.

The KR1000 is a great box and built like a brick *********. At $300 that's a "you ****" deal.

It should clean up pretty good.

Actually, I hate to be the bearer of bad news...but, no, that isn't a very good toolbox. I hate to see people get swindled, however, and if you'd like to PM me your address I can arrange to take that box off your hands for what you paid for it, so you can find a much better toolbox. What am I going to do with it? Probably scrap it out. Am I going to be taking a loss on it? Sure, I am...but that's okay....I would rather you find yourself a much better toolbox for that $300.

KR1000 is one of the best built tool boxes made. Even though yours is a little rough, you should be arrested for stealing:lol:

Well done, enjoy the box and you ****.

I love the hidden compartment on that box, I'd get the heavy ribbed rubber cover just so I could use that :)

With only $300.00 into it - I'd strip it then have the whole thing Powder Coated. That rust under the existing paint should be taken care of NOW.

FWIW,

I still have not found a side to match the depth of the KR1000. Found a shallower KRA but at 200 bucks it was worth it.

Passed on a top locally for 600 a while back due to lack of funds, still kicking myself for that one.
