Congrats man. I really like that color, not too flashy. And it doesn't have the flashy caster rimz

I must admit I did not think the stainless top would be as solid as it is I like the wooden top but it came as a good deal so I did bend a little over it

I don't think so I got it at a good price as the snap on dealer placed the order for it long ago and it came on the van I told him I was in the market for a new cab and he told me he had it and would cut me a deal so home it came

Thank you its nice to be with like minded people who appreciate good qwality ecwipment so many don't know the joy of using good tooling I am not saying you have to get snap on / mac or the like but if I may say if you have to use tools often don't get the cheapest of cheap thay will make your job harder and will not last or give you the service you deserve as a dedicated tooley

I don't know why the kra series boxes get so little respect. They are the best built boxes in the 40" class hands down.

I must admit it is built like a tank I am thinking of getting the stainless corner guards and maybe the stainless draw fronts for it to give it some protection but I don't won't it to be to over the top whot do you guys think ?

I'd go with the protection if you're rolling it around the shop or if you're rolling other things around the box. Otherwise spend your money on other stuff you need for now. maybe keep your eyes peeled on eBay and if a set pops up for a killer price grab them

If it is indeed in a body shop, I would highly recommend you get some type of fold down cover to minimize debris getting into the slides and drawers when not in use. The body shop environment is hell on a tool box.

I was thinking of making a cover for it out of a type of rubber material we have called dartex it has a cotton back and the rubber the other and is water proof and uv stable and it's free

That would work, Sil nylon which is very light can work too. It does **** getting dust in every nook and cranny of a clean box.

Yes, cover is mandatory fare for the box! Especially for when you're not there.

Sounds crazy, but I've seen guys put tarps and trashbags over their boxes when they aren't there. Shop foreman usually puts a halt to that real fast though.

LOL, just for looks? The manager wants the namebrand boxes visible for the customers to admire?

Snap-On currently has tool box accessories on sale, there is a special flyer that your truck guy/gal should have.

Our SO guy was showing it to one of my co-workers this past Wednesday, since he wants to add some upgrades to one of his boxes.

IIRC, the sale prices are good until the end of this month.

Hi!

This is my first post, I'm a long time lurker. I really do like you new tool box! I looked on the snap on site and catalog and could not find that tool box, would you mind providing an item/part number for your exact tool box? I'm really considering getting one...
