Sounds like they're trying to prevent "stored energy slippage" where injury occurs when a tool lets loose all of a sudden - - - - - like when you put cheater bar on something and it slips.

Same thing happens when you're trying to break off a tree branch that keeps bending and bending, then finally snaps . . . . . easily can mess up a shoulder, arm, leg, etc.

Curious to see what "new Snappy tool" fixes this risk. I'm guessing it surrounds then entire nut, rather than just grip couple edges like a pipe wrench. Best solution would be standardized nut sizes on gas meters, pipes, etc. so one unique tool could be used (ie a break-a-part style box-end wrench) - - - likely OVER-sized nut - - - example: standardized sizes on fire hydrants.

Want to see pics or more definitive description.

I read the discription it sounded similar to the hazet or geodore(can't remember which) torque wrench that uses crowsfeet. But not a torque wrench and they didn't descirbe the "heads" that well.

CNG how many styles of gas meters have you ran into? 5,10, too many to count?
