Alright GJ Tool buddies... need some input

I need to upgrade SO Boxes.. I'm really liking the KRL1023 but my Dealer has a new Epiq box - just the straight box, no powertop or powerbank. Supposedly he picked it up back a few months ago at a pretty good price.

He's really pushing the new box, im waiting to here his price on the Epiq, but the more I look at them, the more I think I'd rather have the 1023... If for no other reason than the add ons available for the 1023 (Risers, End Cabs, etc etc) that isnt available for the Epiq (yet im sure).

Whats gonna be a good price range for the 1023?? Craig (my dealer) usually does me right, after all I think Ive paid for his car and part of his house over the last 10 years, but it never hurts to be careful

Thanks for the input everybody!

To me the only thing that's cool about the epiq is the power bank drawer and top. Without it it's just a bigger emblem and different drawer retention system. Not worth what they are asking IMO.

You should buy a MONTEZUMA for 1/3 the money, including hutch and end cabinets....

Spend/save/invest untold saved money for you and your families future.

i had a krl 1022 and a few months ago got a 68" epiq. a lot more space and the drawer layout is a lot nicer. overall, the smaller drawers are each 5" wider and the longer drawers are 8" wider. also, risers are available. and lockers. i just dont think end cabs are, yet. heres a pic of mine when i first got it.

The accessories are available for the Epiq boxes. There is an additional $400 rebate available currently thru Snap-on Credit on the Epiq boxes. You can usually get a better deal on a box that is on the dealers truck over one that he has to order.

v6chris's box is very nice...certainly the nicest default drawer layout I've seen from SO! And the blue with chrome trim is truly beautiful. Nice selections!

What model is that?

Thanks for the input - Buying a box other than a Snap On...isnt gonna happen.

Ill find out what hes wanting for that Epic he bought - Its Artic Silver color - so the chrome wont show up as much.

My dealer has had it so long its in his Whse Storage - so Im gonna have to stop by and see it (be like a kid in candy store - ill try and grab photos)
If I like it, and its a decent deal, I'll probably pick it up.

Vr6Chris - hows the draw closure on the epiq's??

chadster, I have not compared pictures or boxes side by side..............but the Blue EPIC above appears to have more shallow drawers than a comparable KRL......

More Shallow and fewer medium depth ?????

Wish you could make me a deal I couldnt refuse !!!!!

Man, thats a great looking box. Love that deep blue and chrome. The chrome casters look sharp as well.

Can you add a top box with those power strip thingy's in the way?
