The OP pictured sockets appear to be the above linked 112YMMSY
I have 2 sets of that style 1/4” drive metric shallow. I find them overly tight tolerances wise. Has anyone else had this?
Thanks, that explains my confusion when looking them up on the S-o website. However, when I enter 112YMMSY into the S-o search bar I get nothing.

Their site just *****, even the dealers talk about it. Search function is screwed up among other things.
That's the whole point of FDX. Snap on, IMO, did a disservice when they claimed they can be used as your regular set of sockets. These are specialty tools for rusted/rotted/rounded stuff. And they are absolutely excellent at that. They are annoying at best to use as your daily driver sockets.
I agree they need to add the under-cut into all of their 1/4 and 3/8 sockets. It just makes them easier to use.
That design is perfect. Need too roll it out to the rest.
Not sure. I kind of dig the lack of knurl. Lack of knurl makes it look like a modern design, plus Snappys shallow , narrow knurl wasnt really all that effective. A deep, aggressive knurl around the top may be ok . Snappy should send me a few sets of each style for me to confirm it for themNah, need to add a knurl ring just above the upper relief line. THEN, it would be perfect.
Hey, S-o design team . . . You're welcome!

I really like the knurling you find on the Wera sockets. The color coding is also a nice touch. Too bad they don't stamp on the numbers, plus Snappys shallow , narrow knurl wasnt really all that effective. A deep, aggressive knurl around the top may be ok

Weird timing. I was looking at sockets earlier today on Snap On's website, specifically 10mm semi-deep's and noticed the FDX semi-deep looked different. I didn't think too much of it because I don't buy or use any of the FDX line.
The FDX line has been around a few years now. But I've not seen this style on the truck/in person, so no idea if it's new or only the semi-deep versions. Snap On's website often use stock images that don't match the actual tool, so I often don't know for sure until I see it on the truck.
A multi billion dollar company with world class tools, and yet a website that looks like it was thrown together by an intern. In a drunken weekend.
They just need to hire a few drunken interns to get the thing sorted out.
i admit their website isnt amazing, but try out mac and matco sites, ugh
I didn’t know any of this. Our system at work is odd. I asked for 1/4 sockets. Magically 6 months and 5 people later and they show up. Going to have to ask for regular flank drives. That's the whole point of FDX. Snap on, IMO, did a disservice when they claimed they can be used as your regular set of sockets.
