Ok all relatively new to the GJ and the internet thing joined GJ in December after lurking for a few months. Anyways got on to the journal doing research for my new Garage.
The new garage is being built on a 50' x 150' lot my main residence is on the front of the lot and the shop is going on the back with access from the alley the lot slopes down from the alley to the street i already have a parking area and 4' retaining wall 25' in from the alley. So the shop is starting at the retaining wall with an 8' x 12' garage door entering the 21' wide by 24' deep garage on a suspended slab with my wife's art studio/company office under the studio which will be 21' wide x 16' deep the lost 8' in studio is from the 4' retaining wall to the studio's 9' ICF wall which is going to turn into a crawlspace for storage or a site built insulated storage tank for solar hot water, which will be helping to heat the home and garage's radiant heated floors.
I posted this in the flooring section instead of the garage gallery as i have to have a waterproof floor above the studio ceiling and i'm leaning towards a porcelain tile floor with waterproof membrane under. By the way the suspended slab is going to be built on Quad-deck ICF forms. I have most of the decisions made on the rest of the build with a lot of help from the search function on the GJ but i keep going back to wanting a natural or coloured concrete floor is there any way with densifiers and sealers to get a truly waterproof floor oh yes almost forgot to really put a wrench into things garage floor will not be sloping to door it will be level around the perimeter with slight slope to drain in the center so we have to seal floor to drain. I can only see doing this properly with a membrane and tile.
I know some of you are going to want pics.

but i've figured out how to downsize and post pics. and i've been trying to attach the garage plans but have been unsuccessful "any hints" Anyone
