Not sure if this has been on here before but it is worth seeing. Seems like a great idea. Our construction teacher at the school wants one for the classroom.

Whatever the cost to repair the unit is worth it to save fingers.

This has been out for a while. They were recently dragged (along with ryobi) into a lawsuit due to the fact that not EVERY saw has their patented device.

They are suppose to be fantastic saws in every way, not only safety.

The cost is about $90 for the stop cartridge and $***.** for the ruined blade. A very worthwhile trade IMO.

Very awesome saw. I'm a mechanic by trade, but at home, I'm a woodworker and thankfully I have all my digits (knock on wood). My father-in-law, however, is not so lucky. Some years ago, he was using a table saw, and well, suffice it to say he only has one thumb.
