Also I don't know if you can tell in the pictures but this cart is not the standard Snap On Red but more of a Candy Apple Red. Completely different color code on the back than the same cart as another guy has in the shop. Could this be a one off or a special order someone defaulted on? It is used. But other than a ding and a few scratches you would never know it.

ETA I am at Bruce Walters Ford. Hell they own every kind of dealership except a Chrysler but I see that coming one day soon. I am just a General Service Tech. Mainly oil changes and putting on parts, etc till I get some experience under my belt. We work on everything in the world down there. We do alot of the other lots used work too.

that cool.. my work's owner is Andy Mohr, he own like 10 dealerships around indiana, three body shops, and big truck like volvo and mack with mostly of Ford F-series that super duty...

mostly of time i do a lot of "the Works" package as oil change and rotate the tires. most of time i had upsell like fuel filters, and etc that need to be change every 30K miles.. but if they has vehicle that blown plug, engine noise, or need a engine replacement, they do like me to do because i can do sooner while other techs would do same but just take a time or stop it and do other works then go back. i prefer to do start the job then finish the job first unless have to order the part then stop it and do other work.

Yeah they are bluepoint. I like them but as much as I am up to my elbows in oil that chrome gets slick as hell so I went ahead a got me a dual 80 3/8 drive after I had a damn plug that seem to be put back on with an impact and I almost broke my hand when it slipped.

Oh, ok. Williams makes a very similar ratchet, #31011.
lg1_002803.jpg

Actually, they make 2 different ones. The one you pictured, 31011, is a 60 tooth with no quick release, and it is an amazing ratchet, except for the stupid handle.

They also have a course tooth version with a quick release.

Are you a full time tech? If so that seems like a pretty small box compared to what I have seen....do you plan to expand?

well it is better than none... but i work next to other tech who have imported cart and it is WAY overfilled of tools(mixs of gearwrenches, craftsmans, and imported tools)... he had been working on diesel trucks.... i am little impressed as he can do much as he can do with those small amount of tools... but problems is he had been asked to use specialist tools like pullers, slide hammers, air hammers, and etc... it is little annoy to me...

Is that a Petzl Ticca XP I see in there?

How's the Wolf?

It is one of the wal-mart energizer 3 led models. Two white light and one red.

Ahh the wolf is ok. It is cheap and I just dip at work most of the time.

I hear ya there. As this is my first real job in a number of years and my living bills were behind I went the credit route for the stuff I use most often. I plan on having it payed off by the end of the year. Here in EKY good jobs are very hard to find unless you wanna go underground and the EPA is killing coal. I will say that I am doing my best to make payments beyond the min.

Buy one of each of everything! J/K. How long have you been doing this? I see a lot of money for a fresh tech. Just me but don't waste money on Blue Point, just rebranded tools that are marked up.

Yeah they are some money sitting there but I am one of those folks that learned the hard way "Buy Once and Cry Once". When it comes to tools I am looking at it as an investment.
