Tekton has a newish line of pliers made in Taiwan. Not sure when they were actually released. Appears to be some needle nose, mini pliers, and a couple of cutting pliers.

Anyone use\try any of them? My first assumption is they are probably similar quality to the Harbor Freight Doyle pliers.

I was primarily looking for some mini pliers for hobby use.

Maybe it's been a few years now, I can't recall, but I remember Tekton selling some nice USA made pliers on Amazon for cheap. I picked up a few pair back then and still use them every single day at work, and they've been great. Curious to see how these newer pliers turn out.

They still have those (likely Wilde, mine even have “wm” stamped near the pivot. Think channellock quality, rough but solid.

The Taiwan pliers aren’t bad. As stated earlier, infinitely better than the Chinese stuff they had before. The new locking pliers seem ok.

The water pumps and slip joints are still sourced from Wilde. Most of the other types of pliers are Made in China and the latest additions to their pliers are Made in Taiwan. At least they are transparent about COO on their website.

I've been happy with the Tekton's I have. 1/2" impact sockets and 1/4" and 1/2" torque wrenches
