DFW: welcome to our forum. there are lots of Snap On toolboxes in the general tools section in both the vintage toolbox thread and the show your toolbox thread. if you own one or want to buy one take plenty of pictures and of the slides for the drawers and there are several members that will give you all the information about your box if they see your posts.

speaking of pictures how about posting one or a few on this thread of your toolbox, car or garage so you'll know how to. i use the paperclip method just above where you write your posts sort of like attaching a picture to an email.

good luck and hope you like it here as much as i do

@drivesitfar, this is what I've been using for the last 5 years. Gets towed, or sometimes gets a ride on a forklift, between some of the DFW hangars. Found the box on CL from a retired Audi dealer mechanic. I'm looking to make or buy a butcher block for the top. I found some old planks from a railcar that I might try for the top. Had some offers from some the past Snap-On dealers to trade or sell it. I hate making payments so I'll keep it for now.

hey E. Marquez, I mostly use my tools on aircrafts, aircraft engines, and my toys. Work out of DFW airport.

DFW: i agree that you should keep the nice old tool box and spend your hard earned cash on better tools if you need any or other things. one thing i do want to warn you about that you might already know is that when you become a member here your tool inventory increases rapidly and your wallet is usually empty.

good to have you join our forum and hope to see a few of your posts in other areas. also if i didn't mention it already just ask questions or share your knowledge if you read a thread and feel the need to.

BTW Dallas' airport was one of the nicest airports i used to fly through in the US. some of the hardest freeway exits to get to know because you think you are taking an exit and you are off on another freeway which was a fun way to see more of your town.;)
