Don Campbell's mini jeep project has got me thinking that I would like to start a full size project, maybe jeep. What is it with jeeps? Are they simple machines that can be rebuilt or are they nightmares?

They follow the same trail as most other vehicles of the same age. Old ones are stupid simple to work on, new ones require a computer engineering degree to unlock the doors. What really sets them apart is aftermarket parts availability that no other vehicle can touch.

Unless they are following a Suzuki Samurai, once the trail gets skinny they can no longer follow.
I've been down both of those trails.
