I am looking at getting a toolbox for my house and am kinda limited on space. I really need something that isnt for than 20" in depth and isnt more than 75" in width. I was looking into older Snap On Heritage 53" boxes but until one comes available I need something to put my tools in. I have a Snap On reproduction 1950s toolbox but it doesnt hold much. Looking for something to hold all my wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, bits, punches, chisels, taps, dies and sockets. A fella I have been doing mechanic work for has an older 1995 Craftsman 9 drawer 26"×18" ball bearing toolbox. I will post some pictures I took but I am thinking about offering $150~$200 for the toolbox. Just coming on here to ask if that is enough or too much for the box. I like that I can stack more box on top. I found a fella on marketplace selling two 4 drawer intermediate boxes and a 6 drawer chest which I am going to plan on placing on top.

Thanks to all who throw in their two cents.

my $0.02

I've had a box like this for 25 years. When you load a drawer with heavy stuff (hammers, punches / chisels etc.) the slide action is stiff but it keeps working. My box is stationary.

I've since added better quality boxes for my main tool storage and the difference is notable. But all up, all in this is a decent box for stationary storage. i don't know how it would hold up if it were rolled around the garage a lot.

if its in good shape, up to $150 sounds like a decent deal

good luck

I agree.
It looks like it will be fine at least until something better shows up. At the price of $150 you can probably sell it for that when you upgrade. If you can find space, keep it and buy another one better. Many GJ members, including me, are happy with their Harbor Freight boxes.
