Hi; I am have been lurking for the last month or so. It is unbelievable how creative and inspirational some of these threads are.

Looking at some of the posts I decided to build a new workbench. Today I picked up a Gladiator Garage Works cabinet.

I have included a photo of my original workbench and the one I made. Also a pic of my motorcycle on the lift.

Anyway thanks to every one for the inspirational posts.

David

Welcome from Norway. Nice workbench. Should serve you well. Are those Craftsman boxes in the background?

Those are craftsmen boxes. I have had them since '97 when I got a maintenance job and had to provide my own tools. It was an industrial laundry and I needed a rolling cart.

I have since bought the Harbor Freight US General 42" box and chest. You can see it holding up the wood in the background. My plan is to use the Craftsmen box for motorcycle parts and the US General for hand tools.

One thing I will say, consolidating all the tools to one place, I have an assload of screw drivers. I had some old tool bags for another job I had and never cleaned them out and my original toolbox from 20 years ago that rarely gets looked in.

Anyway, I got the Gladiator stuff to replace some **** the previous home owner had in there.

Welcome to the GJ. I've got the same HF General box and chest - I really like them. I got them back when the coupons still applied to tool boxes and larger items.
