Hello everyone

My name is Steve, and I've been a lurker for a short while but decided to post now that we've purchased a house and I have a 2-car to call my own. Seems to be a lot of great information and ideas here. Unfortunately I can't dive in to a renovation head first, as the honey-do list is mighty long at our new place and I didn't nail the recent lottery either. This is our first home and I am excited to slowly make my domain just right.

As you can see, it's in need of quite a bit of love. I snapped this the night we signed and I moved the first bit of "furniture" from the place we were renting.

yes... I know the truck needs a bath too. She's been sitting for a few months. One of the first tasks is to get some heat in there, as she gets a bit cranky when she's cold.

Originally I planned on tearing that small room in the corner out, but on second thought I will probably install a door and vent it for my 80 gal. stand up compressor, and on the other side add more shelves for all of my paint supplies and such. All of the sheetrock needs to come off and wiring and insulation added, then I'll have to decide on what to put back up. Ceiling will be pretty simple, panel it with something and blow in insulation on top, then add plenty of lighting. I will probably ditch that window all together, as I don't really care about natural light and I don't really like easy access points into the garage. The outside of the house is about due for siding, so that'll be the perfect time.

I would love to epoxy (or some kind of finish) the floor also.
