New to GarageJournal & DP220

Hey all. New to this forum, I guess any forum for that matter. I came a across a DP220 Drill Press. On a whim, I decided to break it down and rebuild. However, this press came with a Quadrill (4 position turret drill head). This is more for a production environment. Since I want the press for hobby metal work and it adds a vintage look to my garage, I want to remove this head. Does anyone have any idea to remove? Is this merely a interference fit?
