Been lurking for a while and decided to post some pics of the new garage
I had built about 4 months ago. Lots of nice setups here. I'm open to any
suggestions on what direction to go from here. A 4-post lift is definitely
in the near future. What do you pros suggest? What would YOU do if
this was YOUR garage?

The last pic was my "temp" garage while cleaning the floor of the real garage.

My wife came home and was like......wt...~?!

Great forum~!!

Step 1: Around the middle of next year, take your vette to the nearest Ford dealer and trade it in on an '07 Shelby GT500.

Step 2: ...........?????........ya know, I guess that's about all your garage is missing! :bounce:

J/K...Nice set-up, whatever you decide to do, be sure to post some progress pics for us.

Is that entire structure the garage?

yes. i believe the measurements are 30 X 40 and i have a cabanna
bath and shower which is the door you see at the back on the right.
it also has a covered patio along the right side from the bath up to
the house.

i'm planning to put a nice air compressor then do some nice built-in
shelves, etc before i do the lift. then upstairs i have lots of space to
do something with.

Thanks.........but I've never been a big Ford fan although I do like some of the new Ford
trucks.

Sure, I'll keep everyone posted of the progress. Work a while.....spend the $$. Work a
while......well, you'all know the drill.

Very nice....I'm just starting a garage remodel and have decided on the Backyard Buddy...you can find cheaper lifts but I haven't found any better. Also check out Lista cabinets I ordered some today (actually ordered through Griot's)....very well made. What flooring are you going with?
Keep us posted with pics

The production cars haven't started coming off the line yet so alot is still speculation, but so far they are saying the car will weigh around 3800lbs and put out something like 475-500hp all that for about $40K.

Not quite as nice of a power to weight ratio as the Z06, but if they are anything like the 03-04 Cobra's with a few simple mods they'll be WELL above the 600hp range which will bring it down to a comperable power to weight ratio as the Vette.

You gotta love being able to see new 427 Vettes and Shelby's on dealer lots again!

Yes, I'll get the new Z in '07. Until then, I'm contemplating on getting the E500 AMG.

Thanks for the compliment, Luke.

How nice do you want to make the garage? Do you want it to be functional for working on cars or do you want it to look like another room in the house? I'm leaning toward having a loft look with brick interior in one of mine on my new house, while the other one will be more functional to work on a car.
