Just picked up an Electro-Mechano model: 801 drill press.

I've done limited reading on the company online. Do any of y'all have experience with them?

Also, what is y'alls opinion on static phase convertors? Motor is a 1hp 3 phase 220/440volt.

Now to find vise and morse taper stuff.

never heard of that drill but instead of a static phase convertor a VFD variable frequency drive is the way to go converts 3ph into 230volt and you can get more rpms out of the drill also, i would have to go look at my drill i can't remember what it is

heres the one i got on my 3 phase clausing i can bring it right down to a crawl and tap with nice thing about 3 ph you can instant reverse them and now i think you can buy this same VFD with a switch on it for auto reverse its way better then a static convertor for a drill application

Drill has a speed range of 100-4000 rpm. It is a dual speed cvt style setup. I doubt i would have a need to go faster, but would probably be nice to go slow.
