Futzing around in the yard this morning and come in for a cup of coffee. I sit down at the computer and check CL, figuring I'll see the same ads that get bumped every 2 days. Surprisingly, I see a toolbox ad that is only 2 hours old. Nice size single bay and a middle box on top. Call the number and get voicemail. 5 minutes later he calls me back that it is still available. Drive the 45 minutes and make the deal.
This is what it looked like when I got it home and pulled out the 2 stuck drawers from the bottom and one that wont close in the top.
Disassemble and clean. Of course there is the full tube of grease that got slathered all over the inside. As a bonus, this box also had a full tube of anti-seize all over the inside too. This is on the back.
Couple of hours later and it looks like this.
I need to order 3 slides and send the lock out to have a key cut. I'll slap a wooden top on it it fill it up.
The best part - while I'm cleaning it my 10 year old daughter comes out and asks if I'm taking it to work. When I say yes, she asks if she can have the tiny one I have at work...and some tools to fill it with.
Second best part....$50 for the set.
